Minecraft - Modding

This section contains information and useful links relating to creating new mods for Minecraft. It is not a tutorial or a guide for the Java programming language.

Note - as of this time, I haven't started modding; I am still in the "information collecting and understanding it all" phase....I expect to be getting my feet wet soon - my son is so excited about being able to create his own mods.

Introduction

Minecraft Modding is a great introduction to programming. Firstly, Minecraft is extremely popular with the kids, so they are motivated to make their own mods. Secondly, Minecraft is written in Java, and the developers have allowed access to the APIs.
