Is is possible to take a Minecraft PE world off an iPhone or iPad and copy it over to a (new) world on a Minecraft PE Server.

First, you need to install a Minecraft PE Server; refer to Minecraft Server PE - Setting Up a Server. If you want to run multiple PE worlds, have a look at Minecraft Server PE - Running Multiple Worlds.

Note these instructions are for taking a world from a Minecraft PE edition on an iPhone or iPad. It should be possible to do the same thing for other devices, but I have no experience (or need) to do so. These instructions also assume that a Mac computer is used to connect to the devices - there is apparently a version of iFunBox for Windows so the process ought to be similar.

Get iFunBox for the Mac

Download and install the iFunBox for Mac application. This free utility allows you to browse all the 'hidden' files on an IOS device. You need this type of access to be able to find the world files. These are other options available, including iFileExpress, or jailbreaking your phone, but I chose the iFunBox route.

Copying a World from iPhone or iPad

1. Copy World Files to a Work Directory

Start up iFunBox, and plug the iPhone or iPad with the world on it, into you computer. Use iFunBox to browse to the folder that holds the world files.

NOTE: If you have both the Lite and the paid version of Minecraft, you may see two identically named applications. One will be the Lite version and the other the paid version. Unfortunately it is not obvious from the names which is which. Look in both for the named world you are looking for.
